Welcome to Char O’Brian’s Family Dining. Char O’Brian’s is located in Galena’s Historic Logan House, a fabled hang out for General Grant and his card playing buddies, at 301 N. Main Street in a beautifully restored Galena Brick.

Char O’Brian’s Family Dining is just that, Family Dining. Our menu features secret family time honored recipes, along with the favorite comfort foods we all love. We take pride in the fact that we will never pre-make anything. Our Pot Pies are even hand made the minute they are ordered. And that is where time comes in. We believe that everyone should take the time to enjoy the company they are with over wonderful food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Upon entering Char O' Brian's you will notice the many black and white photographs on the walls. These photographs are taken by local

artists and are of sights in Jo Daviess County. These will change periodically as they are for sale. Currently we have many barn pictures including The Farm Bureau Barn that was formally in Elizabeth, The Apple River Fort,and A Winter's Landscape, just to name a few.
